Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding guests, employees and property assets at a Marriott hotel in Kigali. This role involves proactive patrolling, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents to ensure a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms and fire life safety systems.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Defuse guest or employee disturbances and call for outside assistance when needed.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or run for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
