Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, its guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time, onsite position ensures a safe environment and supports the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control access to rooms.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact emergency services.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and handle complaints.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and heavier items with assistance.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training, and licensing requirements where applicable.
