Health & Nutrition Technical Advisor

About the role

World Relief is seeking a Health & Nutrition Technical Advisor to strengthen and expand its health and nutrition portfolio across country offices. The role will provide technical assistance, support business development, and contribute to strategic planning in line with the organization’s international programs strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business development activities, including lead generation, pre‑positioning, and drafting high‑quality concept notes and proposals to grow the health and nutrition portfolio.
• Provide program technical assistance to country offices on primary health care, mobile clinics, community management of acute malnutrition (CMAM), chronic malnutrition, and social‑behavior‑change communication.
• Offer specialized support in maternal, newborn, infant and young child nutrition, emergency nutrition response, stunting prevention, and nutrition‑sensitive programming.
• Support integrated disease‑outbreak response, including clinical case management, risk communication, and community engagement.
• Contribute to strategy development, learning, impact measurement, and external stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to humanitarian values and advocacy for vulnerable populations.
• Experience delivering health and nutrition programs in international or humanitarian settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi‑sectoral teams and country offices.
• Strong communication and proposal writing skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of primary health care delivery, CMAM, and nutrition program design.
• Familiarity with maternal and child nutrition interventions and emergency nutrition response.
• Understanding of disease‑outbreak response and risk communication.
