Head Bartender

About the role

The Head Bartender leads the beverage service at Four Points by Sheraton in Kigali, ensuring guests receive high‑quality drinks and exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Answer guest questions about wine origins, vintages, and styles, and serve wine/champagne by the bottle.
• Manage stock levels, requisition supplies, and perform bottle‑for‑bottle liquor restocking.
• Prepare drink orders using precise recipes and measuring systems.
• Handle cash, complete cashier reports, and secure the bank at shift end.
• Maintain security of liquor, beer, wine, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant beverage service experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb, and work in confined or elevated spaces.

Required skills

• Knowledge of wine varieties, vintages, and service standards.
• Proficiency in cocktail preparation and recipe execution.
• Cash handling and basic point‑of‑sale operation.
