Finance Manager – Rwanda and Uganda

About the role

DHL Express SSA is looking for a dynamic Finance Manager to lead the finance function across Rwanda and Uganda. Reporting to the CFO for the two countries, you will act as a trusted business partner, shaping financial strategy and ensuring robust governance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO to define and execute finance strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Provide actionable financial insights, scenario modelling and risk analysis to support decision‑making.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking and ensure accurate, timely IFRS‑compliant reporting.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, drive process efficiency and lead automation initiatives.
• Manage internal and external audit processes, tax compliance (VAT, income tax) and remediation of findings.
• Lead, develop and structure a high‑performing finance team, setting performance targets and succession plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years finance experience in a multinational environment.
• At least 5 years in express logistics or freight forwarding (advantageous).
• Degree in Finance or Accounting; professional qualification such as CPA.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations and compliance frameworks.
