Community Officer – Rwanda

About the role

BrighterMonday is building its community in Rwanda, and you will be the point of contact for job seekers and employers. The role is remote, covers both communities, and reports directly to the Group Head of Strategy. It suits someone who can own their week and move things forward independently.

Key responsibilities

• Be the first line of contact by call, email, WhatsApp and social media, answering job seekers and employers quickly and resolving issues at first contact
• Run recurring community touchpoints such as a WhatsApp group, a newsletter and a monthly clinic
• Onboard Rwandan universities and TVETs, set them up, train their career services teams and help students build profiles
• Help employers get started, support partnership and commercial work in-market, and run events and webinars end to end
• Keep CRM records complete and accurate, and give a monthly summary of what is working, what is blocking and what people want
• Take part in weekly briefings with colleagues in the other markets and help define new needs as the market grows

Required profile

• At least two years of experience, or a recent graduate who has visibly run something such as a society, business or campaign
• Fluent Kinyarwanda and English; French is an advantage
• Good online, able to write replies that sound human while representing the company, and able to switch register
• Organised, follows through and writes things down
• Knows Kigali's universities and where young people are
• Reliable internet and a working setup at home
