Chief Operating Officer (COO)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, on‑site Chief Operating Officer to lead Bio Usawa Biotechnology’s daily operations in Kigali. The COO will ensure operational efficiency, drive strategic growth, and support our mission to deliver affordable, life‑saving monoclonal antibodies across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations to maintain high efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and implement strategies that drive growth and profitability.
• Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Lead business planning and coordinate cross‑functional operational initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality requirements.
• Optimize supply‑chain and manufacturing processes to support product delivery.
• Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence across all departments.

Required profile

• Strong business planning and analytical abilities.
• Proven experience in operations management.
• Expertise in finance and budgeting.
• Data‑driven decision‑making mindset.
• Excellent leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration (preferred).
• Experience in biotechnology or life‑sciences industry (preferred).
