Kitchen and Laundry Technician

About the role

The Kitchen and Laundry Technician provides essential maintenance support for guest areas, ensuring all equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently in a busy hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning, lubrication and visual inspections.
• Carry equipment, identify and operate shut‑off valves, and maintain inventory while requisitioning parts as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics related to plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Execute complex repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and pool heating systems, complying with company standards and local codes.
• Apply lockout/tagout procedures and use engineering computer programs for preventative maintenance and energy management.
• Train and mentor other engineers and act as Engineer on Duty when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. with vocational/technical background.
• Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration, and parts inventory management.
• Minimum of 2 years hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and Universal CFC certification.
