Investment Associate (Huye)

About the role

Inkomoko is seeking an Investment Associate to join its Huye office, supporting entrepreneurs with loan and investment products. The role involves direct interaction with borrowers, guiding them through application processes, and ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from prospective borrowers and assist them in applying for investment products.
• Introduce and explain investment products, repayment terms, and debt responsibilities.
• Conduct investment appraisals, collect personal, business, and guarantor information, and open new investment accounts.
• Perform due‑diligence activities including site visits, document preparation, and coordination with Business Development Advisors and Business Associates.
• Develop and maintain workflow processes for all investment stages, ensuring segregation of duties.
• Communicate loan‑related information to supervisors and help prepare credit reports.
• Capture entrepreneur photos, obtain consent waivers, and post stories on the Kiva platform for fundraising.

Required profile

• Highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong interest in entrepreneurship and micro‑finance.
• Based in Huye and able to work onsite, reporting to the Senior Investment Officer.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with borrowers.
