About the role

The Heavy Equipment Salesperson is responsible for promoting and selling construction, mining and industrial machinery to businesses and contractors. The role combines technical knowledge of equipment with strong customer relationship skills to achieve sales targets in a competitive market.

Key responsibilities

  • Promote and sell heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders and cranes.
  • Identify potential customers, generate leads and build long‑term relationships.
  • Conduct onsite product demonstrations and explain technical specifications.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts and close deals.
  • Coordinate after‑sales support with service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and prepare performance reports.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  • Proven experience in heavy‑equipment or related industrial sales.
  • Strong technical understanding of machinery and equipment specifications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in field environments.

Required skills

  • Technical knowledge of construction and mining machinery.
  • Proficiency with CRM software for managing client relationships.
