About the role

Zipline’s Maps team builds the high‑precision geospatial data that powers its autonomous drone fleet. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer you will create and maintain the systems that collect, validate, and serve spatial data, turning complex backend services into intuitive tools for global operators.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement full‑stack applications that aggregate and process spatial data from multiple sources.
• Develop APIs and services that provide geospatial information to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and map editors to build user‑friendly interfaces.
• Validate flight routes, manage elevation models, and ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
• Scale data pipelines and services to support distributed teams worldwide.

Required profile

• Proven experience building full‑stack web applications in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teams and translating technical concepts for non‑technical users.
