Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Rwanda

About the role

Partners In Health – Rwanda is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership for its operations in Rwanda. The CFO will ensure sound financial management, support long‑term sustainability, and align resources with the organization’s mission to deliver high‑quality health care to vulnerable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance department and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, reporting, and cash management.
• Develop and implement financial strategies that support organizational growth and mission impact.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, donor requirements, and internal policies.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, forecasts, and performance analyses for senior leadership.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, donors, and financial institutions.
• Provide financial guidance for program planning and expansion, including occasional travel to supported districts.
• Mentor and develop finance staff, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior finance leader (CFO or equivalent) in an international NGO or similarly complex environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and reporting in non‑profit settings.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and accountability.
• Passion for global health, social impact, and equity in healthcare.
