Adjunct Curriculum & Quality Assurance Expert (Entrepreneurial Leadership)

About the role

ALU is looking for an Adjunct Curriculum & Quality Assurance Expert for its BSc Entrepreneurial Leadership (BEL) programme, a three-year degree aimed at producing ethical entrepreneurial graduates ready to use technology to solve problems across the continent and beyond. The consultant designs, refines and validates the existing learning components of the programme in line with ALU's Learning Model, supports the periodic review process with a project plan and milestones, and contributes to academic expertise, quality assurance and programme development.

Key responsibilities

• Review, refine, design and validate the current curriculum of the Entrepreneurial Leadership programmes, following the project plan and timelines
• Assess programme alignment with accreditation requirements and the quality assurance framework
• Carry out a curriculum gap analysis against global standards, industry requirements and emerging technology trends
• Review learning outcomes, graduate attributes, course sequencing, assessments and competency frameworks, and recommend enhancements
• Ensure alignment with domains such as social innovation, entrepreneurship education, policy and advocacy, planetary health innovation, business strategy and leadership development
• Benchmark the programme against leading international Entrepreneurial Leadership and Entrepreneurship Management degrees and recommend improvements
• Update course specifications, learning outcomes, assessment strategies, practical activities and programme documentation
• Collaborate with academic leadership, faculty learning designers and industry stakeholders to validate recommendations
• Support quality assurance, accreditation and periodic review requirements through documented, evidence-based recommendations
• Take part in curriculum review workshops, stakeholder consultations and validation sessions
• Update programme handbooks, curriculum guides and other academic documentation, and support the Programme Manager and faculty in implementing approved changes
• Report progress against milestones and undertake other reasonable duties assigned by the line manager

The engagement is a consultancy arrangement starting immediately and lasting 3 to 4 months, with an enrollment of 15 to 25 hours per week.
