SAP S4 Support and Deployment Officer (Finance)

About the role

Africa Global Logistics Rwanda Limited, a transport and logistics company incorporated under Rwandan law and based in the Kigali Special Economic Zone, is recruiting a permanent, full-time SAP S4 Support and Deployment Officer for its Finance Department. The mission is to support the deployment of SAP S/4HANA to replace legacy accounting and financial tools, defining a core finance model for the Port, Shipping, Logistics and Rail businesses and rolling it out across the group's 50 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in deploying SAP S/4HANA, ESKER and NEOFI solutions across the group's countries and entities.
• Support project activities such as requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, system configuration, testing, go-live preparation and post-deployment support.
• Coordinate deployment tasks with the central program team, local finance teams and external consultants, and prepare and run test scenarios while tracking progress, action items, dependencies and risks.
• Assist with go-live and provide post-deployment support.
• Provide first-level application support and help with second-level support for SAP Finance, resolving user incidents and service requests within SLAs.
• Monitor interfaces and data exchanges between SAP and connected applications, and maintain records of incidents and resolutions.
• Document application processes, configurations and test results, and contribute to user guides, FAQs and troubleshooting documentation.
• Identify process gaps, track support activities and contribute to operational performance reports and KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's (Bac +3) or Master's (Bac +5) degree in Information Systems, IT, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in ERP application support, implementation or deployment, preferably in finance or accounting environments.
• Experience with ERP implementation, testing, upgrades or application support, and with incidents, service requests and troubleshooting.
• Fluent English; good communication, problem-solving, service orientation and ability to manage priorities.

Required skills

• Good understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
• Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA, especially FI/CO, is an asset.
• Exposure to P2P digitalization solutions such as ESKER is an advantage.
• Additional SAP, ERP or IT service management certification is an advantage.
