Residential Life Coach – House Lead

About the role

The Residential Life Coach – House Lead will be the primary residential presence for one of eight houses at Ntare Louisenlund School, a new IB/MYP boarding school in Bugesera, Rwanda. Reporting to the Residential Life Manager with oversight from the MYP Principal and Deputy Head of School, the role blends pedagogy, relational care, and leadership to nurture the wellbeing and growth of each student in the house.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the face of the house to students, parents, and staff, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
• Oversee daily residential life activities, ensuring safety, wellbeing, and academic support for all house members.
• Collaborate with the Residential Life Manager and school leadership to align house practices with the school’s Plus‑STEM and Ubuntu values.
• Mentor and guide students in personal development, conflict resolution, and community building.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, health, and disciplinary matters.

Required profile

• Passionate about holistic student development in a boarding‑school environment.
• Strong relational, leadership and pedagogical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school leadership and external partners.
• Commitment to the school’s mission of excellence in secondary education and STEM innovation.
