Resource Mobilization and Donor Engagement Specialist

About the role

This position leads the organization’s efforts to secure funding and build lasting relationships with institutional, bilateral, multilateral, UN, foundation, private‑sector and domestic partners. The specialist will shape donor strategies, manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, and ensure high‑quality proposals that align with the mission of supporting vulnerable children worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic donor engagement plans, including intelligence gathering, competitor mapping and positioning to increase visibility and readiness for funding opportunities.
• Maintain a well‑managed funding pipeline and opportunity tracking system to support resource acquisition planning and decision‑making.
• Lead the preparation of high‑quality, compliant funding proposals, coordinating cross‑functional inputs to ensure timely and competitive submissions.
• Strengthen domestic resource mobilization through local fundraising initiatives, corporate sponsorships and donor‑facing materials.
• Generate strategic donor intelligence and funding analysis to inform prioritisation, positioning and acquisition decisions.
• Oversee reporting and documentation of funding opportunities, proposal progress and outcomes within organisational systems.
