Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position requires a proactive approach to safety and excellent interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Handle guest or employee disturbances, defuse conflicts, and call for external assistance when needed.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Escort unwelcome persons, report vehicle accidents/thefts, and conduct investigations.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training, and confidentiality standards.
