Camp Education Coordinator

About the role

The Camp Education Coordinator will lead World Vision’s Education in Emergency programme in Rwanda, ensuring vulnerable children receive quality learning opportunities even in crisis settings. This role combines technical expertise, resource mobilisation and quality assurance to deliver impactful education services on the ground.

Key responsibilities

• Identify education needs in emergency contexts and provide technical support for project design and resource acquisition.
• Write technical sections of education proposals, design activities, and coordinate costing with finance teams.
• Lead the implementation of the Education in Emergency project, aligning sector budgets with programme plans and ensuring compliance with donor, government and cluster standards.
• Coordinate supply chain for educational materials in partnership with UNHCR and internal logistics.
• Develop and disseminate sector‑specific technical approaches, guidelines and tools, and share best practices across operational areas.
• Monitor project quality through review systems, DME guidelines and donor requirements, and support the Quality Assurance team in indicator development and monitoring.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education in Education, International Development, Humanitarian Affairs or a related field.
• Proven experience in education programming within emergency or humanitarian settings.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, government education policies and cluster coordination mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical, writing and coordination skills.
