Space Applications Expert – Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a highly qualified Space Applications Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The role focuses on developing, deploying and promoting Earth Observation services and applications, especially those based on Copernicus data, to address climate, environmental and development challenges across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Earth Observation services and applications using Copernicus data and products.
• Support the uptake of EO solutions in sectors such as early warning, climate monitoring, agriculture, water management, biodiversity and environmental protection.
• Collaborate with African institutions and stakeholders to ensure relevance and adoption of EO services.
• Contribute to knowledge exchange, capacity building and policy dialogue within the Africa‑EU Space Partnership.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services, remote sensing or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO services, preferably with Copernicus data.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
• Experience working with African institutions or user communities is a plus.
