Quality Manager – Project (SHEQ)

About the role

The Quality Manager – Project (SHEQ) will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the integrated management system for a construction organization in Rwanda. This role ensures compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the integrated management system (quality focus) across projects.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, internal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Define, execute, and track improvement actions aligned with international best practices.
• Organize training, communication, and awareness programs for employees and subcontractors, and manage related documentation.
• Represent the company on safety, quality, and environmental matters with clients and external authorities.
• Produce functional SHEQ reporting for the market.
• Oversee the management of human and material resources related to SHEQ activities.

Required profile

• Higher education in Engineering or a related field.
• CCP of Occupational Safety and Hygiene senior technician (preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction projects.
• Proven experience in market management or large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 standards and audit processes.
• Good command of MS Office tools; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Effective communication, leadership, planning, organization, and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel as required.
