About the role
Zipline is looking for a Service Engineer to join its Africa team. You will be the first line of technical support for the company’s global fleet of drones, aircraft and ground stations, ensuring that every delivery can proceed without delay.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical response for grounded assets and coordinate cross‑team resources.
- Diagnose complex technical issues using approved procedures and diagnostic tools.
- Maintain 24/7 shift operations to restore service quickly and achieve high first‑time‑fix rates.
- Ensure compliance with FAA Part 135 regulations and performance targets.
- Support both flight‑test and commercial operations across Zipline’s global fleet.
Required profile
- Thrives in high‑pressure environments where decisions impact life‑saving deliveries.
- Practical problem‑solver with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in shift‑based, 24/7 operational settings.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and communicate technical findings clearly.
