Field Officer in TVET and Workplace Learning (WPL)

About the role

The Field Officer in TVET and Workplace Learning (WPL) will support the implementation of dual‑training programmes within Rwanda’s agricultural value chains. Based at the Rwanda TVET Board (RTB) office and regularly visiting the Rwanda Agriculture Board (RAB) station in Rubirizi, the officer will work closely with RTB staff, private‑sector partners and schools to strengthen skills development.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of dual training in selected schools and companies, ensuring harmonisation and collaboration among partners.
• Facilitate TVET schools and private‑sector employers in designing, implementing and assessing training programmes.
• Collaborate with RTB staff on activities related to Dual Training, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and skills upgrading.
• Conduct routine field visits to monitor progress and provide technical assistance.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in TVET, workplace learning, dual‑training or related fields.
• Familiarity with agricultural value‑chain contexts such as pig, poultry, beekeeping, rabbit farming or aquaculture.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the TVET and Workplace Learning Expert and to travel regularly to field sites.
