Country Manager Rwanda & Burundi

About the role

PUMPUM is seeking a dynamic Country Manager for Rwanda and Burundi to lead its mission of strengthening business ecosystems and driving sustainable economic growth. You will oversee a freelance team of country representatives, manage client relationships, and ensure the delivery of high‑impact programmes for SMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Country Impact Plan aligned with PUMPUM’s strategy.
• Lead and coach a team of seven freelance country representatives.
• Manage end‑to‑end client relationships, ensuring continuity and strategic alignment.
• Identify and secure funding from donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Build strategic partnerships with entrepreneurs, business organisations, and ecosystem enablers.
• Coordinate with the Africa regional team, programme managers, and support functions.

Required profile

• Strong network within SME communities in Rwanda and Burundi.
• Proven experience in programme management and team leadership.
• Ability to conduct strategic analysis and translate insights into action.
• Track record of securing funding and managing stakeholder relationships.
