Consultant – Review TVET Curriculum for SRHR Needs in Rwanda

About the role

UNFPA is seeking an individual consultant to assess how the current Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) curriculum in Rwanda addresses the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) needs of young people. The consultant will identify gaps in Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) content and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a systematic review of existing TVET curricula and related training materials.
• Identify missing or insufficient CSE components and assess alignment with SRHR objectives.
• Engage with relevant stakeholders to gather contextual insights.
• Prepare a detailed report outlining findings, gaps, and practical recommendations.
• Present results to UNFPA’s Youth Empowerment Accelerator for Health (YEAH) project team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Public Health, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in curriculum analysis, SRHR, or youth empowerment projects.
• Fluent in English; French and Kinyarwanda are desirable.
• Proven experience working with TVET systems or similar technical‑vocational programs.
