Business Development Intern

About the role

EarthLink Group is looking for a motivated Business Development Intern to join its Kigali headquarters. You will work directly with senior leadership to identify new market opportunities across seven African countries and support the acquisition of clients, investors and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify entrepreneurs, investors and businesses seeking to expand in Africa.
• Assist in preparing client proposals, pitch decks, concept notes and service packages.
• Conduct market intelligence and research to uncover new sectors and geographies.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospects, embassies, trade bodies and industry associations.
• Support negotiations and deal‑closing for new client mandates.
• Monitor and report on business development KPIs and pipeline progress.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth hand‑over of closed deals.
• Represent EarthLink Group at networking events, investor forums and trade fairs.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, IT, Marketing, International Business or a related field.
• High computer literacy and ability to work independently with digital tools.
• Willingness to learn or already familiar with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to thrive under pressure.
