Account Receivable Clerk

About the role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is hiring an Account Receivable Clerk in Kigali. The role covers checking figures, postings and documents for accuracy, keeping financial records and files, and preparing and reconciling accounts and statements.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
• Organize, secure and maintain files, records, cash and cash equivalents in line with policies and procedures.
• Record, store, access and analyse computerized financial information and keep accurate electronic spreadsheets.
• Classify, code and summarize data in journals, ledgers and computers to keep financial records.
• Prepare, maintain and distribute financial, accounting, auditing or payroll reports and tables.
• Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.
• Prepare, review, reconcile and issue bills, invoices and account statements.
• Follow company policies, keep proprietary information confidential, protect company assets and guest and coworker privacy, and handle guests' service needs professionally.
• Answer phones and emails with appropriate etiquette, and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to move and lift objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
